About

The Fatmata Foundation is dedicated to empowering marginalised women, and women living with disabilities, to build lives full of, purpose, and overcome poverty. The Foundation’s program is built on the foundation of integrated pillars designed to achieve  empowerment and economic independence for marginalised women and women living with disabilities. This approach ensures they are equipped with diverse skills for long-term success  through intensive, market-aligned vocational training in sewing, instruction in essential digital and soft skills like entrepreneurship and professional ethics, communication, and sustained guidance. We don’t believe learning should stop in the classroom, which is why we pair every marginalised woman and women living with disabilities with a professional short term mentorship pathway for sustained guidance.

Fatmata Mansaray’s Life and Legacy

Fatmata Mansaray is a strong believer that every society deserves growth, prosperity, and the ability to overcome challenges. A woman defined by her empathy, sharp intelligence, and remarkable accomplishments, she is driven by a deep compassion for others. She has devoted her life to empowering marginalised women and persons with disabilities, helping them surmount significant obstacles to build a life full of hope and courage.

We want to foster an equitable society where every girl, marginalised woman, and women living with disabilities are empowered to thrive, living a life full with security, purpose, and joy.

Our core aim  is to empower women, specifically those who are marginalised, returning migrants, or women living with disabilities, through essential training in sewing, digital literacy, mentorship, and soft skills, building pathways to self-reliance. We also treat them as a partner, friend, and family member.

Legacy & Commitment

In commemoration of Fatmata’s lasting legacy, the Foundation also engages in charitable activities to continue the spirit of her dedication and compassion.
